Ginger Cookies

Up

1 1/2 cup sugar

1 cup margarine

2 eggs

1/2 cup dark or light molasses

3 tsp. baking soda

1/2 cup dark or light molasses

3 tsp. baking soda

½ cup water

5 1/2 cups flour

11/2  tsp. cinnamon

1 tsp. ginger

1 tsp. cloves

1 tsp. salt

Mix sugar, margarine, eggs, and molasses. Dissolve soda in water, add to above. Mix in remaining ingredients. Cover and refrigerate at least 2 hours. Bake at 375F for 8-10 minutes. Roll fairly thick for a softer cookie.
