Mulligan Stew

Up

1/3 Cup Margarine

1/3 Cup Flour

6 Oxo beef cubes

4 Cups Boiling water

2 Cups Cooked beef, diced

4 Onions, sliced

2 Large carrots, diced

3 Potatoes, diced

½ Cup Green beans

½ Cup Frozen peas

Salt & pepper to taste

Dumpling recipe

Heat margarine in large saucepan, stir in flour. Gradually stir in oxo cubes dissolved in boiling water. Stir until thickened. Add meat & all veggies, except peas. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover & simmer gently for ½ hour. Stir in peas. Season to tasted before adding dumplings. Fifteen minutes before serving make dumplings & drop into stew. Cover tightly & cook for another 15 minutes.

Dumplings:

1 Cup Flour

2 Tsp. Baking powder

¼ Tsp. Salt

2 Tbsp. Margarine

2/3 Cups Milk

Combine dry ingredients. Cut in margarine. Pour milk into well & mix. Drop into stew.
